How can I see all events in a Slack channel?

Type /eventson in a Slack channel.

The list of five events across the channel. Anyone in that Slack channel can use this command to get the list.

What information can I see about an event?

You can see the following information for an event:

  • Event Name
  • Place of the event (if filled while creating the event)
  • Date & Time of the event
  • Count of total number of team members who are interested in that event
  • Event Description(optional)

You will also get some buttons to make operations on an event. Those are:

  • I’m interested (you can mark yourself as interested about the event by clicking this button)
  • Decline (you can mark yourself as not interested in the event by clicking this button)
  • Remind to Channel (you can remind the team members in the channel about the event by clicking this button)
  • Invite (you can send a notification to the team members personally or into the public slack channels by selecting a specific option by clicking this button)
  • Description (you can extra information about the event like Description of the event, team members who are interested and not interested in the event and options to Edit and Remove the event by clicking this button)
  • List all events (you can see the full list of events added into this channel by clicking this button)
  • New Event (you can add a new event into this channel by clicking this button)
  • Dismiss (you can clear this information by clicking this button)
