Creating a new event

Go to a public channel in Slack

To add a new event, type /eventson make or /eventson add.

After Press the enter button. A pop-up window will appear allowing you to enter the information about your event.

You may also do so by typing /eventson and then clicking on the “New event” button.

After click on the New Event, a pop-up window will appear allowing you to enter the information about your event.

Note: This works in private channels as well. For adding an event in private channels, you need to invite EventOnBot+ to the channel first, using /invite @EventOnBot and then use the /eventson make or /eventson add command within a channel.

Enter in the event name & other information:

The pop-up window will appear allowing you to enter the information about your event. The required fields are the Event Name, Event Date & Time and Event Repeats. Every event must have a start and end date & time.

If the End date is not mentioned and End time exceeds the hours of the Start date, End date will be automatically marked as Next day.

Other optional fields to fill are Event Place and Event Description. When fields al filled, click “Create” to add your new event to the channel. 🙂
